We are now 18 days into our trip, with since a week the sun on our side. Actually we intended to be in the mountains right now, and every time we look at the south slopes of mountains we think "why not?", but looking at the other sides it is quite clear we will be walking on hard roads still for at least a week or two. This years winter doesn't want to leave, When crossing from Sirdal to Setesdal we came through parts with still 7 meters of snow. (and with the sun shining Jakob looked more like a sour footed lobster)
We are now in Dalen, and planning on going to Rjukan to pass Hardangervidda on asphalt instead of crossing it, and hope that the sun melts all snow away in the meanwhile, and we don't have to torture our feet anymore on hard roads!
