Back in Kilpisjärvi we fill up our backpacks and have a short day to our first hut in Finland. There we find out that Finnish huts are for free, but very busy with people still arriving at midnight (our usual bedtime is nine...). The next day we are glad that there are many huts to warm up in because it is stormy, with horizontal rain and very low visibility.
In the evening we share a very tiny hut (about 30m²) with 5 other people, their backpacks and wet clothes which makes the evening very "gezellig". We sleep in front of the hut in the tent which gives us the better nights rest.
The next day we walk together with Steinar, whom we met again in the first hut and walk until we arrive in yet another hut when it is already getting dark. We enjoy one of our self dried meals with a chokopudding desert (thanks Johanna!) and with a full belly sleep like rocks. Next day we say goodbye to Steinar again and walk out of Finland. Of the Finnish lemming tundra, as they call it, we have seen verry little because of the clouds we were walking in.

Back in Norway the weather turns nice again and after a day on the road we head back into the mountains again. Climbing up a very tough valley without a path we are happy to unexpectedly find quad-tracks that are easy to follow, even over a quite rocky pass. These tracks we follow all the way down to a fjord where we spend the night at a camping and enjoy a verry necessary shower.
From there we take a tough shortcut over the mountains, stay a night in a tiny cabin and head down to the next fjord, following an old telegrapline. After the last bit along a big road are now in Alta and have our backpacks filled up for the next days, ready to head out on the last part of the way...(!)
