The Route
From South to North, From Shop to Shop
Although there are little pieces we actually walk more south then north- but in life there are no roads that bring you straight to your goal, i believe.
The biggest challenge for us with planning the route was to walk from supermarket to supermarket. In a country as the Netherlands or Germany it might sound a bit.. unimaginable, but we had to struggle to keep the distances inbetween shops (with some exeptions) closer to each other then 200 km.. With an average daydistance of 23 km per day, 200 km mean almost 10 days... And all food for two hungry people weight a lot, and then would slow us down again.
